System won't boot up!

I installed Nas4free several years ago. I left it unplugged for about a year while in storage. I tried starting the system up and it told me I had a boot sum error. I remember the last time I had that i had to replace the on board battery. I did that but now I'm getting a "disk boot failure" I then thought it was a flashdrive that went bad so I went and bought a new drive and downloaded the software onto the drive. Still giving me the same error. Any thoughts?

be sure the bios is set to boot first from the flash drive
the default is likely to be the cause of the error message
the old flash drive may be good

Well I stepped away from this problem for a while busy with other stuff. I'm back now to tackle this problem head on!!! (Armandh), I did what you said, shoot all four spaces for options I filled with "removable", I didn't even give the bios a chance to select anything else. I tried rebooting and still I get "disk boot failure". i even tried plugging in the old usb and letting the computer figure out which one it liked the best haha. But to no resolve did it work. Please I'm asking for the knowledge from the biggest brains on the matter. I have terabytes of data I need to gain access to and I'm not getting any closer to my goal without your help.

Does the hardware work as it should?
while trying to get the hardware to function unplug the data drives
bios battery replacement?
what does the bios show?
if an actual bios check sum error I would suggest recovering the data using other hardware
try a memory test
try booting from a CD

Do you remember what OS(FreeNAS/Nas4Free) did you run previously? Do you have zpool or raid configuration?
