Samba with Yosemite plays tricks

Dear Nas4Free users,
I use 9.1.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 431) with a Yosemite client and with Samba (as I have a windows laptop too).
Here are two screenshots from a share. In a terminal box I can see all folders present with all the files, same attributes and permissions, yet with Finder app in OS X I cannot even browse the folder in question. I have quite a few of these and I cannot figure it out why.
The only workaround so far is to make another directory within the SSH session and copy the contents of the faulty dir into this new one. But why won't Samba let me browse folders? Renaming won't help, pretty much nothing helps unless I do the steps above
Many thanks,
danzi
