Heyho,
plane momentan meine aktuelle Überflüssig gewordenen Komponenten in ein NAS system zu verwandeln.
Gedacht war folgendes
Mainboard : Asus M4A785T-M
Ram : 4Gb non ecc
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3,4Ghz
Platten:
4x WD Red 3TB + 1 Seagate 3TB platte
Das ganze im ZFS Z-1
Soll laufen als Datei Server und Media Server via Plex und itunes sharing.
Clients wären 5 Windows Machines, MBP und 4 iphones und 2 ipads
Backup ist vorhanden.
Ist das so machbar oder hab ich ihrgendwas übersehen ?

sollte laufen. denk dran zfskerntune zu installieren
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

Dein Mainboard verträgt ECC-RAM, das gibt zusätzliche Sicherheit und wird bei ZFS auch angeraten.
Überlegt mal, das Board mit 8, besser 16GB ECC-RAM zu bestücken.
Keine Ahnung, wie viel das kostet.

Meine Antworten beziehen sich immer auf die englischsprachige GUI. ECC-RAM ist Pflicht beim Einsatz von ZFS.
