May be nice replace files system_cron.php and system_cron_edit_php on attached ?

In my case this pages may be callable from another pages, and when user press save or cancel, it will redirect to page where it call its. (just added $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] )

I use it on my minidlna extension.

Not at all.
What you plan from extensions ? I begin work on fail2ban-php_analog and have idea make analog for wait_on as script, not call to kernel. I attach it for minidlna, but I want make it universal.
Also I find xupnpd - as IPTV server. ( Minidlna not work with playlists )
