VL805 PCI USB3 not loaded at boot

Installed a new USB3 PCI board with a VL805 USB 3.0 Host Controller to retire momo usb2 and use external USB3 disks with nas3free.
It refuses to boot nas4free.
If I boot from the mobo USB, and connect USB hard disks to the VL805, I get disk errors on all SATA disks in disk management. I need to clear and import disks and raids, etc. When rebooting, with all disks attached and reconfigured, I get the disk errors again. So every time I reboot I need to reconfigure all nas4free unless I have no USB3 drives connected.
Think the VL805 board does not get loaded from BIOS at boot, but get loaded later by freebsd/nas4free. Since at boot the disks are not seen, but they are seen later, it create issues, I think.
I could not find drivers for it:
http://www.via-labs.com/driver.php
There could be drivers for *nix:
https://certification.ubuntu.com/certif ... 1106:3483/
VL805 *should* be supported in freebsd:

Any suggestions on how to get this VL805 PCI USB board to play nice with USB3 disks on nas4free?
