2 of 3 disks dead! What are my chances?

Yesterday i was having trouble browsing to my NAS over SMB. I logged into the WebUI and saw that my pool was in a degraded state! Looking at the disk properties through the WebUI i saw that only one of the three disks was showing as ONLINE. Naturally i panicked.

After rebooting the server and looking in the BIOS, i could see:
Disk 1 - SMART diagnostics BAD. Showing strange disk ID/part number and only 4GB (It's a 2TB disk)
Disk 2 - SMART diagnostics GOOD.
Disk 3 - Disk no detected.

It seems very odd that two disks would die at the same time!

Do i have any chance of recovering my data? What steps should i take?

Am i just sh#t out of luck?

Cheers.

most disks dont die just like that. their failing can be seen by their smart values.
you should have set up smart monitoring. the smart diagnostic in itself is useless.

please post the smart values of your remaining disk.

for the first disk it could be a firmware bug. look up the model number and see if the problem is know.

does the 3rd disk spin up?

here is a good article written by a company that fills up hard drives by the minute.

Start by replacing all the cables on the bad drives and hoping it is a cable problem. But if you lost two drives, you may not be able to fix it.
