I plugged an SSD in and did a "zpool add first log ada4", "first" being the name of the pool, then did a zpool status, everything looked fine, then rebooted-
and now all of the data in my pool is GONE!!!!


Is there any way to get it back, and what the hell went wrong?????

In the web interface I get:
Name Size Used Free Capacity Dedup Health AltRoot
first Unknown Unknown Unknown Unknown Unknown Unknown Unknown

You might just need to sync. Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize

Does you pool show correctly in Disks|ZFS|Pools|Information?

It says "nothing to synchronize".

On the pools management screen it has the name of the pool but everything else is "unknown".


Is there a way I can boot to last known good configuration?

The zpool status command says "no pool".

Go to shell and try zpool import , and post output.


PD: try to zip and attach output of "dmesg -a" perhaps can help to understand what happends.

I reloaded. Is there a step by step for adding a ZIL with the GUI?
