Would this 8GB SLC IDE SSD work okay as a ZIL/SLOG??

My wife never uses the old laptop I built her, so I have pulled the SSD out of it and I'm trying to repurpose it now. My current NAS has a Intel 313 Series 2.5in 20GB SATA II SLC SSD that is being used for the ZIL/SLOG in my primary tank. I say being used, but it's hardly being used at all (I'd like to repurpose it). I'd like to pull the Intel drive out and stick the 8GB SSD in its place, but I'm not sure the 8GB SSD is fast enough. I've spent the better part of today reading the internets to see if there were some bare-minimum specs for a ZIL/SLOG SSD I could then benchmark this drive against. All I got was really the need for a low latency disk, but not any specs of what would be considered low latency.
Here's the drive I have:
Trancend TS8GSSD25-S
2.5" SLC IDE/PATA SSD
Read 83MB/s, Write 66MB/s, 64MB Dram cache

I know the IDE interface is several magnitudes slower than SATAIII, but I would imagine this one maxes out the speeds it capable of. Anybody have any thoughts on whether it would work okay as a SLOG??
Thanks in-advance for any feedback!
