ZFS nonsense

Post by bramblyBush »

It won't let me make a new pool with a vdev because it is in an "active" pool that is gone, is not showing up so i can't delete it so what the hell... My ZFS Pool Management page is empty with a message saying "config has changed, click apply." When I click apply it says error code 1. The logs say "root: zfs destroy George/Sandy
Mar 5 16:08:34 nas4free root: cannot open 'George/Sandy': dataset does not exist"
I tried factory resetting it and as soon as it loads, it gives me the same message in Zpool management. I tried formatting the disks, it still gives me the error. I have deleted everything I can see, the configuration page shows everything is empty yet it is still confused! It was working fine yesterday. I'm losing my sanity over this crap, checking menu's round-robin to see if i missed something. I guess I literally have to reinstall everything.

If it has been deleted and the GUI doesn't think it has then you need to go to Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize and synchronize it.
