Once created, you are ready to install serviio.

First you need to log in your jail, in my case:

Well lets see here. You seem to have encountered multiple errors and I can't say I really know for sure. BUT:

In my experience it's often quite common for a media server to fail to work with certain specific devices. This is because the DLNA protocol is poorly specified (in respect to codecs, compatibility, you name it). Simple checklist:

1) Make sure that uPNP or "multicast DNS" (if so labelled / such a button) are fully enabled on your Router. As your router is chiefly responsible as being the middleman in all that (DLNA service discovery).

2) After eliminating router mis-configuration as a possible cause, it is essential to try other devices on your LAN (smartphone, other computer / TV / PS3 / whatever). And see if any of them will instead detect the media server.

3) Check that your media server specifically supports your device. In my experience, by far away the best one is UMS ("Universal Media Server") and it supports comprehensively nearly almost all media renderers. Switch to UMS. Try it out on a desktop PC first, then if that's ok try looking at raul's tutorial from installing UMS on NAS4Free, which is also here somewhere on the forums.

Other jails errors:

Don't know. Fail. You're not in the jail so no java. Maybe jail isnt running (started) so no output from "jls" cmd. Don't know. Not familiar with it.

IN MY OPINION if theBrig is too much hassle to deal with (as it was for me) then you are welcome to try the alternative. Which is to install the Finch software and use it's jails management program instead (qjail). You can find everything about that toolchain at the Finch Website:

http://dreamcat4.github.io/finch/

Trust me, it's quite easy. And fully supported (by me!).

On Finch was wondering might it conflict with TheBrig cause as far as I know I'm clueless on howto remove anything from a FreeBSD other than via rm commands thn not even sure where all THeBrig is located across the Nas or whether or not its now integrated within /usr/bin

Seems to have descent enough GUI approach to remove headaches once I can get it properly configured and understand howto use it correctly feel its probably just something simple I'm missing or overcomplicating things IDK

I'm very used to Debian flavored OS's though (ex: sudo apt-get purge MyProblems && apt-get autoremove PackageName) and for me has been a major undertaking on package management might have to pickup a freebsd book

your jail is not started: http://imgbin.org/index.php?page=image&id=17204 you need to push green button at the right to start the jail, and see that word sttoped change.

1 - Do you select in installation source http://imgbin.org/index.php?page=image&id=17207 FreeBSD......base.txz as source for your jail install? (your jail need to know what source use to create the jail)
2 - Do you create folder /mnt/NASPOOL/Jail/serviio/mnt/Video if not, please crate it because must exist to mount your Video folder inside the Jail.
3 - I see in your miniDLNA that your media files are in /mnt/NASPOOL/Media , but you use /mnt/NASPOOL/Video in your fstab http://imgbin.org/index.php?page=image&id=17205 , are you sure that /mnt/NASPOOL/Video exist and have videos on it?

you need to start jail with ports, if use latest working "Thebrig", there are a tab to manage ports, you need to download ports and enable the tick in your jail to tell the brig that you want to use ports in this jail.

once done, stop your jail, wait 20 seconds and re-start jail, if you do all good, +ports appear in the webGUI ( Please post a screen capture to be sure)
