Upgrade from 10.2.0.2 (1962)

Post by Class »

Hello all,

Using NAS4Free 10.2.0.2 (1962) embedded.
Downloaded NAS4Free-x64-embedded-10.2.0.2.2115.img.xz from the web UI and started the upgrade as normal.

This have not finished now after 3+ hours.
Same problem started with the previous version. I had to abort the upgrade that had stalled for hours, rendering the system USB disk unbootable and I had to do a fresh install.

On the console it says: Press enter to continue.fuse-freebsd: version 0.4.4, fuse abi 7.8.
This console is frozen, but I can open others and log in fine.

Three lines from ps x is interesting:
9088 - I 0:00.01 /bin/sh /etc/rc.firmware upgrade /var/tmp/ftmp/firmware.img
9103 - I 0:06.62 /usr/bin/xz -cdv /var/tmp/ftmp/firmware.img
9104 - I 0:00.85 /bin/dd of=/dev/da0s1a ibs=32k obs=32k skip=32

What kind of hardware do you use, also did you try with an other usb key?
Did you do first time install with the livecd/usb?

Also I see you try todo with rev 2118, rev 2115 has some non working menu livecd/usb.

I have not seen this kind of errors before.
System specs: XigmaNAS 11.2.0.4 -embedded on Samsung 860 EVO 256GB and Supermicro X10SL7-F w / Bios v3.2, IPMI v.03.86 / CPU E3-1241 v3 @ 3.50GHz - 32GB Crucial DDR3L 1600mhz ECC 1.35v , LSI 2308 on PH20.00.07.00 IT mode, Storage: 5x Western Digital Red (WD30EFRX) raidz
