How to embed install to USB?

Post by eiger3970 »

Hello, I asked this beforeviewtopic.php?f=57&t=8994, but NAS4Free links are showing a lot of 404 errors.

I install NAS4Free from USB1. The install documentation http://www.zoonsweb.nl/wiki/doku.php?id ... n_overview says to then do an embedded install.

I try embedding to USB 1 but that doesn't boot NAS4Free after a restart.
I try embedding to USB 2 but that doesn't boot NAS4Free after a restart.

So, do I add a 2nd USB to install NAS4Free onto?
It seems I can just run NAS4Free from the original USB 1. Why and what is the embed bit for and how can I make this embed thingy work?

you need 2 USB sticks to install the embedded.
One to install from it (containing the LiveUSB image and one to install to it, which will contain the the system after installation.

easier to remove the live source USB stick and move the USB stick with the embedded install to the vacated spot
