Since the computers are directly connected, I've set the NIC's up with static IP's as follows:
HP Z800:
Onboard 1GbE NIC:
IP: 192.168.1.20
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.250
Mellanox 10GbE NIC:
IP: 192.168.1.30
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.251
Precision 690 - NAS4Free:
Onboard LAN (built-in 1GbE NIC):
IP: 192.168.1.250/24 (the default, of course)
Gateway: 192.168.1.20
Mellanox 10GbE NIC:
IP: 192.168.1.251/24
Gateway: 192.168.1.30
I can access the NAS4Free GUI without issue at 192.168.1.250 from the Z800, but if I set my CFIS share to "OPT Only," the mapped network drive no longer can be accessed from Windows. If I restore "All Interfaces," the shared drive can be pulled back up in the Windows box.
That said, I've run AngryIPScanner (on Windows) during every one of my tests, and 192.168.1.251 is always dead, and it won't ping from the command prompt either. On the NAS4Free box, I can ping 192.168.1.20 with success, but not 192.168.1.30.
This is my dmesg:
