Potential Upgrade from 0.7.2.?? with encrypted data disk

Post by Fred@NAS4Free »

I have a NAS working perfectly happily on a P2 with FreeNAS 0.7.2.somethingorother. Behind a firewall without access through it for any services at all, I have no great security worries. Data disks are encrypted by FreeNAS. I need to put the NAS into a different box (nothing exotic, a P3 this time). The hardware has been tested and runs NAS4Free 9.3.0.2.somethingorother perfectly adequately for my needs.

I have read through all the upgrade HOWTOs that I can find, and none of them makes any mention of disk encryption. So the simple question is whether disks encrypted on FreeNAS 7 can be read and written to by NAS4Free 9. Does anyone know?
