Re: NAS4Free 10.2.0.2.2332 released (FreeBSD 10.2-RELEASE-P12)
Hi.
I'm just doing some tests to get an stable setup to use later in production.
While creating a Dataset, I miss an option in the GUI to set the case sensivity, in order to set it to mixed. I'm said it is necessary to make the Windows clients work properly when I share the dataset with SAMBA.
Since this option can only be set at the dataset creation time, I have to create it manually from the CLI and later use the Disks|Zfs|Configuration|Synchronize to import the dataset to the GUI.
Are there any plans to modify the GUI to let the user set the three settings that can only be set at the creation time of the dataset? In the advance section, if you like.
I searches in the forum, and it is a request done since long:
https://sourceforge.net/p/nas4free/bugs/61/
http://www.nas4free.org/forums/viewtopi ... 66&t=10425
http://www.nas4free.org/forums/viewtopi ... 56&t=10487
Thank you!

I'm pretty sure those are benign, though they look scary. I see them when I restart SMB/CIFS/Samba but only then and everything seems to work...infinion wrote:Hi all,

Hello, folks!
Sorry for not being exactly on topic here, but where can one enter an email adress to get notifications of new releases?
I checked out SourceForge commit browser, the mailing lists there also - but I want notifications of RELEASES, even minor ones, but not the entire commit history...
And then the forum does not allow one to register for new topics notifications on a subforum level - for example to get notified for new topic in "Release Builds", so... ideas?
Thanks!
Plamen

But If you use N4F and you surf on the N4F Webgui to the Firmware section you can see, if there is a newer version available than you have installed.
if not, you than have it disabled on System|Advanced

Re: NAS4Free 10.2.0.2.2332 released (FreeBSD 10.2-RELEASE-P12)
Yep really off topic.
phpBB can enable RSS feeds, I believe. But the board moderators would have to enable feeds first.
With RSS feeds, it would be a doddle to create an IFTTT recipe to email you when a new topic pops up in this forum.
You could also do it the hard way - create a page2rss feed that checks this forum, then an IFTTT recipe with the resulting rss feed that causes IFTTT to mail you. For example.

16288 root 1 20 0 12856K 1092K select 2 16.7H 0.00% mDNSResponderPosix
second most resource consuming process. Is that corrected in 2332?
or may I solve it by adding manually "mdnsresponder_enable="no"" to rc.conf via webgui? I'm not using any Apple service on my N4F.

This has been addressed with the new release today. Enjoy!darioml wrote:Hi.
