Authentication Error NAS4Free

Post by HansKnecht »

NAS4Free version: 9.3.0.2 - Nayla (revision 1283)
VM OS: Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi,

I have a NAS4Free server with 15 drives attached to it. I'm using ZFS and ISCSI. I've had no problems so far, however now I have a set of VMs that when trying to connect to the ISCSI target get: "The Target Name is not found or is marked as hidden from login".

I can ping the NAS4Free server from the VM, no issues or dropped packets.

On NAS4Free I get the following error:

VMs on the same subnet as NAS4Free can connect without an issue, but vm's or computers on Subnets outside of the nas4free server can't. They get the same error. There are no firewall rules on the VM or NAS4Free or physical firewalls between them. There are managed switches, but I can't find anywhere in NAS4Free where IP address should matter (outside of access to the webgui) but as far as I know if it can ping it then it can connect, is that incorrect?

I've tried sysprepping the VM on the off chance that a UUID was causing a conflict.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Anyone have any ideas? Does NAS4Free not allow connections to ISCSI from a different subnet?

If you check the iSCSI initiator, is the network you are connecting from in the list of authorised networks?
