Hi There,
Every time I try to open a txt or bat file on a share it won't open. The error is "The specified server cannot perform the requested operation."
This is only on one computer, the others work fine. Any ideas?
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,

Try opening notepad from the command line then tomorrow notepad open the text file.
Above might work if notepad is not associated with text files.

Same issue. It opens notepad but the error is in notepad itself. Txt files on the local machine work.

How about using wordpad or even even a 3rd party editor such as ultra edit or notepad++ ?

notepad++ works, but there is a software that tries to open bat files using notepad and so it fails there.
