I am running V 10.2.0.2.2545 full and decided to upgrade to a 10gb nic. The nic is recognized and I am able to configure the nic by DHCP but I tried to assign the IP that was on the only nic and it will not assign. I have tried from both the GUI and console.
I even went back to the old nic and have the same issue now.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks

Re: Cannot set Static IP after NIC swap
I have done all that. I was able to somehow get it to work after I went to a backup with the old nic in and set that nic to DHCP. Then set the new nic to the static.
Thanks

Re: Cannot set Static IP after NIC swap
When you configure your static IP don't forget to configure the Gateway too.

Re: Cannot set Static IP after NIC swap
I'm sure you got this fixed already, depending on the router configurations, you may be able to set the STATIC IP using the MAC Address of the NAS4Free network interface. Research you router, you may be able to configure the DHCP Assignment based on MAC Address.
I have DD-WRT running on my home router, I use this configuration for all my devices in the network.. really saves me time & headaches!
