Hi.
I was a having trouble with my windows shares in SMB/Cifs.
Every image I opened in file explorer created a "thumbs.db" file with read only permissions and to delete it or move the directory I needed to use the console (ssh).
So I looked over samba FAQ and find this auxiliary parameters to use in every share (share/edit) i use (the veto files configuration):
[Auxiliary parameters]
delete veto files = yes
veto files = /Thumbs.db/thumbs.db/desktop.ini/Desktop.ini/
If you use mac with samba you can also add .DS_Store to hide and delete it.
(delete veto files: to delete that files if you move the directory)
Well, it works for me. So thats files will never being created anymore to makes me nervous again!
Sorry by bad english.
Thanks.
