Upgrade from 9.1.0.1 to latest version

Post by molika »

Hi

I'm having a bit of a problem with upgrading my NAS4FREE 9.1.0.1 to the latest version. I've done a fresh embedded install with nil issues on a new usb stick. I have saved/backed up my config file. However, when a try to import the config file I get the following message after reboot "Menu console not available". I would be grateful if someone can shed some light on what the issue may be. I have no problem when I connect the usb stick with the 9.1.0.1 install, all works OK. the only reason for upgrading is i have video stutter problems when playing back files when transmission is enabled. once i disable transmission all works OK.

many thanks

Do a fresh config.

use your config.xml as reference , but do not import.

There are massive changes from 9.1 series, and some times ( not always), config file is not good for 10.3 series
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
