Hello!
I'm using an Intel SS4200EHW first with FreeNAS 0.7 and now NAS4FREE. My first install was the full install of NAS4FREE and a long time ago I switched to the embedded version of NAS4FREE. It's for me the better version to upgrade NAS4FREE.
So now my problem: I use the build-in NIC (Intel) in two LANs (VLANs). Until version 9.0.0.1.175 EVERYTHING worked fine - I could ping both IP's in both LANs (VLANs), but since version 9.0.0.1.188 until version 9.1.0.1.262 (my last upgrade) VLAN doesn't work anymore. I can ping the NIC only in the default LAN configured under LAN management, but i can NOT ping the IP under VLAN settings. The settings are correctly stored (IP, VLAN ID) but no ping on VLAN.
So I took putty and configured the VLAN manually and surprise, surprise: the VLAN is now working and I can ping the IP of the VLAN.
But when I have to reboot the Intel SS4200EHW I can see the settings of the VLAN correctly again but the VLAN is not working anymore (until I configure it manually with putty again).
When I downgrade to version 9.0.0.1.175 everything works fine again: I boot my Intel SS4200EHW and voila: ping on both IP's in both LANs (VLANs) with one single NIC.
I think it's a bug! But who can help me?
Thank you very much!
Best regards, Peter

Re: VLAN does not working
I have the same problem over here, upgraded from 9.0.0.1 to 9.1.0.1 and the VLAN stopped working. It worked fine before the upgrade on an Intel Pro/1000MT adapter.
Has anybody found a solution yet?
Peter, could you please describe your putty-workaround in the meantime? Where can you set up the VLANs manually?
Greetings

Re: VLAN does not working
Hi,
Please tell me about your VLAN setting and LAN IP configuration.
If possible, please upload the image of Network|LAN Management, Network|Interface Management|VLAN.
Thank you.

Re: VLAN does not working
Hi,
in my System I have 3 physical interfaces:
- 1 Onboard Gbit LAN
- 1 Intel Pro/1000 Dual Port PCI Card
The onboard interface is configured as LAN, the Intel Controller was configured with OPT1 on one port, and OPT2+OPT3 via VLAN on the other port (See images below).
After the upgrade from 9.0.0.1 to 9.1.0.1, the VLAN configuration did not work anymore (OPT2 and OPT3 Gateways not reachable from NAS and vice versa), so I had to reconfigure it, using only physical networks on OPT1 and OPT2.
Images (please note that I changed the configuration back to the VLAN state temporarily, that's why the reboot note appears in the images.)
