Embedded Install without RAM drive

Post by vandy »

Hello there,
I would like to ask would it possible to install nas4free as embedded but not have it create a ram drive?
I like the flexibility and safety of an embedded install but when I boot up my machine, it takes 30 seconds to create the ram drive and this is an embedded install on a fast SSD drive. I would love to have the boot time cut in half!

Thank you!

the main memory buss is the fastest off die
everything else will be slower.

I aquired a refurbished 1KW Liebert double conversion ups
and I just leave the 3 of them run [drives spun down]
the double conversion does a great job of isolating line spikes.
but yes booting takes a while.

north of the border but you get the idea
