Neeed help getting rtorrent, rutorrent and sickrage in a jail
I know nothing of programing or moving things around in BSD. I have downloaded a bunch of stuff trying to follow random guides on the interweb but I can't get anything to work. Every time I update my N4F I try the jail thing and it never works. This time I used The Brig and I got the jail up and running now I need to install rtorrent ver 0.9.2 and rutorrent then make SickRage work with the other programs. I had something set up before using Transmission but the tracker I use said I could no longer use it so here I am trying to swim but drowning in a sea of information I don't understand please some one through me a life raft.

Re: Neeed help getting rtorrent, rutorrent and sickrage in a jail
Okay I followed the [HOWTO] install Sabnzbd inside a Jail | Updated 9.3 guide (it explains how to install using 10.2 at the end) now I'm going to attempt to get sickrage running. I don't use Sabnzbd but the last time I configured my NAS I had to install it to get Sickrage working. From my understanding I really don't need it to start Sabnzbd at boot as long as the files it uses to run are there then Sickrage has all the files it needs to run.
So I ran Sabnzbd using service sabnzd onestart from my jail1 prompt and was able to access the site, now I'm off to figure out Sickrage any help or a good push in the right direction would be great!

Re: Neeed help getting rtorrent, rutorrent and sickrage in a jail
Update,
I managed to get sickrage "working" I followed the [HOWTO] install Sickrage in my Sabnzbd Jail guide but it kept having problems. I had SickRage installed on my old NAS4Free main drive but it no longer worked because of the NAS4Free update. I remembered reading that the sickrage folder was all that was needed and a script to start it so I copied over the sickrage folder from my old NAS4Free and put it in the jail updated the rc.conf and it works I think...I can't really check until I get rtorrent working which I've never done before. Here's a thought should I create a new jail to install rtorrent into to get it working and once I do recreate it on the first jail. I tried installing rtorrent before and had to delete the jail because it was so messed up I've been working this 4 days straight and I don't want to lose what I have now.
