Hardware driver update..

Post by vexz99 »

I have tried to Google and look over the forum... but had no luck in finding an answer.

What is the best way to update hzrdware drivers on a NAS4Free.. Ie bios, ethernet CPU.

I have the latest v running find, but nework speeds are slow - 2mb!! should be at least 40 - 70mb

I have a HP Microserver Gen8, 1610T

Hardware drivers are usually embedded in the kernel, to find out what hardware is supported look here
https://www.freebsd.org/releases/10.3R/hardware.html

BIOS update are usually available on the mainboard manufacturers website.

The Gen8 is well supported, you can check with iperf if the problem lies on the network itself.
