I've posted the problem on the topic: "[HOWTO] Install TheBrig - one Jail manager for N4F", knowing it might not be a TheBrig problem, but posting in generic jail forum now.
The truth is I can't tell if the problem is with jails in general or with TheBrig implementation.
The problem seems to be after a few hours of uptime of the host, we can't connect with the jails on the LAN. Services are up, and connecting via ssh to the host and jexec'in to jails, all is fine, but the network stack seems odd: the host doesn't have the ip addresses of the jails under ifconfig and the jails don't have them either when ifconfig from within the jail. A reboot solves it, until the problems show again.
Any pointers please. I'm thinking of going back to NAS4FREE 9.3 series but I've spent many hours rebuilding the services in the jails.
Thanks in advance.

I know it's not an answer to your question but I was just wondering if you tried to use virtualbox vm's? VM|VirtualBox in the GUI.
I think it works well and is easier to maintain than jails.

Re: Jail system, unstable on 10.3.3.2964?
Apologies I missed your reply tony1. I have only started it once after the upgrade to 10.x series, just to check, as I did have one vm on 9.3. That's how I had zoneminder running, and I've been battling with the jail for it. I have got zoneminder finally setup in the jail, but with this problem, is not usable.
Back to the point; unfortunately I had the VMs eating up all my host resources on 9.3, my cpu was maxed out and the way zm hammers the storage, I had to abandon it.
I've now invested so much time in getting zm to work on a jail, that feels the right way if is a bug to help everyone to report it.
Thanks for the input though, appreciated.

I use zoneminder in a virtualbox vm (ubuntu) with out any problems and resources are low.
you can set your ZM storage to use a NFS share if you need allot of storage space for events.
it is easier than jail's and works well, at least for me.
