Hi all,
I have been running Freenas 0.7 for years, but now the boot USB stick has failed and I have to install a new one.
I'd like to install NAS4Free, with the aim to recover the volume that I had created under Freenas 0.7.
Is there such an option in NAS4Free?
If yes, which are the steps that I should follow in order to avoid loss of tata with my existing volume?
Thanks everybody.
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,

Do a embeded install on a NEW USB <- good and new.
Configure N4f basic settings ( IP, DNS, etc..).
Go to to Disk | Management: http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=do ... management
And use button "Clean config & Import Disk" <- This button import your disk, so N4F can see it
second: if your previous volume is UFS , use button "Clear config and import software Raid Disk" this import your UFS GEOM RAID-X volume
last step is to share by SAMBA your data and configure other services you need eg: SSH, NFS, DLNA, etc...
PD: If your previous volume is ZFS (NOR UFS), you need to import your ZFS pool, go to Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize
http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=do ... ynchronize
and use the button synchronize to load your pool, perhaps you need to push button twice ( First time try to import ZFS volume, second try to FORCE import ZFS Volume). <- This step can be done by CLI if you are CLI user.
Thats all.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
