Installation from shell

Post by Jarf »

Hi all,

After a few days of running into problems and searching for solutions I hope you guys have an answer. I tried to install Openvpn via SSH onto the NAS and I was glad that I've had success with it. But after a reboot all changes were gone. Can this be caused by the "embedded install" or do I just have to save or apply changes in any way?

Many thanks for replies,
Jarf

are caused by embeded install , sure.

embedded is focused for normal users that DO NOT need to install aditional packages.

please read FAQ: http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=faq:0073

12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
