I have an embedded install and had some kernel panics exactly like described in the ticket https://sourceforge.net/p/nas4free/bugs/286/. Using a default config.xml and experimenting a was able to pin it down to a conflict between Zeroconf/Bonjour a link aggregation interface lagg0. In a defaulted system (fully reset config), creating a LAG interface and activating Bonjour causes panic when issuing reboot command or restarting some services.
I posted my findings in the above mentioned related but closed ticket.
