WebGUI not reachable after install

Post by drnicolas »

I had a working NAS4Free for ages. After a power failure last week, NAS4Free did not boot again.
I think it was teh version from end of january.

THerefore, I tried to upgrade it manually by using a liveUSB-STick. But that did not work also.

Today, I did a complete new install with an earlier version. NAS4Free is now running.
I see the Menu-Screen on the machine.

But I cannot access the WEBGui! I can ping the machine, but that is all!

- WebGUI is not reachable
-Ping works
- SSH does not ("connection refused")

What can I do?

May be you LAN port has been damaged during the power failure. Yes, I know that this seems to be strange, but I had such experience in the past. The LAN port is working PARTIALLY, so you can ping, but no other functionality. So my advice is to try with adding a new LAN card.

I guess the Problem is that lighttpd does not start.
i found a messgae in the logs but not a Explanation for the reason.

I also do not have a running process for sshd.
At first this seems to be the main Problem.

Has anybody an idea how to start sshd for example by Hand ?

Sorry for the last posting. My smartphone did it's one magic.
The error message is :
"dlopen() failed for: ... /mod_indexfile.so .../mod_indexfile.so: invalid file format
... loading plugins finally failed

I have no idea what to do

BTW: Using the latest version of NAS4Free resulted in a boot loop
