can't delete some files
When i try to delete certain files I get "The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program" Also, when I use the file manger in the web gui the delete option at the top of the page is greyed out. I've been pulling my hair out for about 3 hours trying to figure this out. I tried changing the file attributes via windows explorer and it says I don't have permission. Please help!

Re: can't delete some files
Not sure if file attributes in Windows Explorer will carry through to NAS4Free.
Try using the file manager in the Web gui under tools. From their you can change permissions and / or rename, delete, etc.

Re: can't delete some files
you need to log as root, not as admin or other user, when logged as root you can view active the delete option.

Re: can't delete some files
you need to use root as name and your admin password as password: see my screen captures:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: can't delete some files
OK that worked, thank you! Another problem- when I log in like that it seems I'm looking at the NAS4Free system files and not the files on my raid array. How do i change drives in the file manager?

Re: can't delete some files
your raid array must be on /mnt/ search here.
