Re: reboot on webgui > disks>management

Post by jharl »

Also having this issue, but I am remote to the box by 150 Miles. looking to resolve this by way of using the hightpoint cli or web gui. since the nas4free box is on 10.3.0.3.4299 latest build as of this writing. I would notmally configure the bios (hope that helps some one) to configure the disks as "jbods" (single disks) and no raid config. I am planning on using ZFS raid 1 or 2 need to look at that more later. I know that I can configure the disks from the webgui or the highpoint cli to resolve this issue. but what I am facing is how to install software that wants the older package installer "pkg_add" when I try to install the service and then the console I only get "no manifest found" so any help getting these installed would be of great help. I am in hope of a command that would allow the older package to be read and made compatible with the new pkg handler.

hardware :
dell poweredge 1800 4gb ram no internal drives at all no sata ports (turned off)
booting to nas4free embedded usb 10.3.0.3.4299

thanks in advance like everyone else the sooner the better.

best regards
