Clean up old unused jails

Post by Mike8282 »

I have 4 old jail dataset/folders that I no longer use. I want to remove them but keep getting 'device is busy'. Ive tried zfs destroy and rm. Any ideas how I can do this?

correct way is to destroy from Thebrig / Alcatraz interfaz, because prior to destroy can do a backup of entire jail so you can easy restore ( or delete the *.gz file) is really do not use.

actually your option is to delete using steps descibed on wiki: https://nas4free.org/wiki/documentation/howto/jails

Go to Delete a Jail section.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
