[Solved] ZFS hangs.

Post by Peppe »

Hello,
If i posted this is in the wrong section - please feel free to move the post.

I have

Code: Select all

11.0.0.4 - Sayyadina (revision 3330)
running with four 500gb drives and a zfs volume.

This has however appered in the log;

Code: Select all

Jul 12 15:33:34	nas4free	istgt[1879]: istgt_lu_disk.c:4168:istgt_lu_disk_lbwrite: ***ERROR*** lu_disk_write() failed
Jul 12 15:33:34	nas4free	istgt[1879]: istgt_lu_disk.c:6277:istgt_lu_disk_execute: ***ERROR*** lu_disk_lbwrite() failed
The Nas4free is connected to a Wmvare 5.5 server and used as backupsolution.
If I try to copy - I get the following error message;

Code: Select all

cp: write error: Connection timed out
I have replaced all four 500gb drives one and one an resilvered.
No change.

Any suggestions?

first search on google about istgt show a iSCSI problem not a ZFS problem, can you provide more info abut your hardware, your use (not sure what WmWare is used and is configured), etc...
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
