Hi guys, I hope this in the right place!
I have recently set up a NAS4Free server and it was all working fine. I have been copying over my video files and then last night I started to receive the error message (below) while copying files across.
'An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.
Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be preformed because of an I/O device error.'
Can anyone help??
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,
it will taken offline by the end of march 2021!
I like to aks Users and Admins to rewrite/take over important post from here into the new fresh main forum!
Its not possible for us to export from here and import it to the main forum!

I dont know what version of nas4free your using, but the newest ones allow smb sharing via NT1 or smb2. I have seen SMB2 be fluky before, Im not sure but that error sounds familiar. Anyway try the NT1 format, Its allways worked for me.
