Re: ZFS Raidz expansion
Interesting, but personally I have had no problem with Autoexpanding my zpools - when new drives become available at double the size and dropping in price.
But I am only a home user - I can imagine for commercial operations, with very large numbers of disks, this feature will be a very good thing.

Re: ZFS Raidz expansion
Agreed, I usually just replace both drives in my mirror with larger. Would be interesting to add a 3rd or 4th though.mooblie wrote: ↑22 Oct 2017 12:20Interesting, but personally I have had no problem with Autoexpanding my zpools - when new drives become available at double the size and dropping in price.

Re: ZFS Raidz expansion
Nah, you won't be able to do that (assuming you mean changing the vdevs layout)
Perhaps on a later stage.
AFAIU, for starters they will implement the ability to add another disk to an existing vdev , but still, I believe it will take a while until we actually see this live.
