ZFS Replication with Vmware

I have 2 servers with HAST, CARP, ZFS and NFS configured and an ESXI host connected to NFS.

Everything worked fine till i noticed that the r/w speed of the VMs was too low, so decided to create a separate ZFS Volume and a custom mount point for NFS.
The speed has been greatly increased but the problem occured when i switched from the primary to the backup machine in order to test failover.

The backup showed that the mount point was ok but i could not connect to NFS.

Am i missing something in order to make the failover work correctly?
