Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
upgrade embedded works perfectly , thanks
Edit:
send an email does not work anymore.
tls enabled
starttls disabled.
Back to version 5077 everything is working again.
I think this comes from the fact that we no longer have the option to use SSL

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Embedded upgrade:
With new version of transmission (2.93), when I check to see if my selected port is open, I get "Error: portTested: http error 0: No Response"
Reverted back to 5065, and previous transmission (2.92) works fine, as it always did.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Please verify that the service has been started.
Check the presence of the sysctl setting for kern.ipc.maxsockbuf to avoid buffer allocation errors.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
please have a look at /var/etc/msmtp.conf, this is the configuration file for email, if you could send it via pn with sensitive information stripped/X'd.
Some changes have been applied to service msmtp with commits 5075,5077 and 5078 based on an issue reported by doktornotor in posting https://www.nas4free.org/forums/viewtop ... 956#p82919.

Fix: Please enable TLS Server Certificate Check for the time being.ms49434 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018 13:29please have a look at /var/etc/msmtp.conf, this is the configuration file for email, if you could send it via pn with sensitive information stripped/X'd.

Msmtp isn't really clever and complains with: cannot use tls_trust_file with tls_certcheck turned off.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Reinstalled 5109. Transmission is definitely running, but port is again closed (indicated via transmission's WebGui)
sysctl setting for kern.ipc.maxsockbuf is the same as 5065.
Went back again to 5065 and all is OK.
Sounds to me like a bug/change in the new version of transmission, rather than a problem w/ N4F.

Ok, that solved my problem, but I was hesitant to activate this option without a TLS certification file.ms49434 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018 15:33Fix: Please enable TLS Server Certificate Check for the time being.ms49434 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018 13:29please have a look at /var/etc/msmtp.conf, this is the configuration file for email, if you could send it via pn with sensitive information stripped/X'd.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Two problems after update:
1. Sometimes the following line appears in log 'Protocol "https" not supported or disabled in libcurl' (maybe related to a firmware version check)
2. Unable to send test mail with TLS:On and TLS Server Certificate Check:Off (no connections seen on receiving server that is operated by me). See also attached /var/etc/msmtp.conf (word in CAPS are edited for privacy). With 'TLS Server Certificate Check'=On I get ''TLS certificate verification failed: self signed certificate'' since my cert is self-signed.

Yes, port closed and when service is restarted (Services-BitTorrent-Save & Restart) I got 'Changes can't be applied. Error code 1'. Rolling back to release 5065 works as expected.jamaroney wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018 15:48Reinstalled 5109. Transmission is definitely running, but port is again closed (indicated via transmission's WebGui)

Same issue here but I resolved by setting TLS Server Certificate Check onms49434 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2018 13:29please have a look at /var/etc/msmtp.conf, this is the configuration file for email, if you could send it via pn with sensitive information stripped/X'd.

I think it's because the trust file, if it's set the tls certificate check must be on too
I got it working also with the check off and tls trust file set as an empty space

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Upgrade on HP microserver worked well. (N40L with 2GB and 3*2tb zfs array + 1 4tb disc)
The bge WOL patch. (WOL support for HP microservers) seems to work correctly now. Great news as I have been waiting for this to be fixed so that I can turn on my NAS just before a scheduled backup.

Dear Community !
I can confirm that Transmission ( 2.93) in new n4f ( 5109) shows CLOSED PEER LISTENING PORT ( 51413) in "WEB UI / Edit preferences ... / Network / Listening Port / Peer listening port : " option. So ALL processes are in "Idle" or "Queued for download" states.
My IPS Modem / Router shows ENABLED Port forwarding on port 51413 for both UDP and TCP protocols.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
Same problems related to e-mail settings here. Had to set "Use TLS" and "TLS Server Certificate Check" to ON, leaving everything else empty in the Transport Layer Security (TLS) section. Looks a little bit strange when reading the annotations, but at least e-mails are up and running again.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5109 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P6)
After updating NextCloud(to 13.0) "inApp" and disabling OBI, NextCloud and ExtGui in N4F UI, I attempted embedded upgrade.
All good even after re-enabling Extns! No apparent issues. Not uising email sorry, can't comment.
Thanks a bundle for all the time and effort that goes in to N4F and thanks to all those who donate that time.
