Slow performance with MacOS
Since i bought a new Mac with High Sierra the performance on my shares decreased drastic using CIFS/SMB. Both browsing folders and the download-/uploadspeed is painfully slow. If i boot up the same Mac with Windows 10 i experience good performance. Any ideas where to start the troubleshooting? Running N4F 11.1.0.4, just let me know if you need more information to help me troubleshooting. Thanks in advance!

Re: Slow performance with MacOS
Try AFP? Always faster than CIFS/SMB for me from the Macs (but they're Sierra, not High Sierra).
I share the same (public) folders with *both* AFP and CIFS/SMB services on my home network, and it works well. I never established if this is recommended or not, but it seems to work OK - and is much faster for the Macs here.

Re: Slow performance with MacOS
Sorry for late answer, i didn't got any notification about your posts.
AFP is not an option for me because i have special settings in Samba for inherit permissions that, as far as i understand, is not possible to use with AFP.
I'll try the links and see if it solves my problems, thanks a lot!

Re: Slow performance with MacOS
This solved it for me:
https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/curren ... onf.5.html
==> client signing = disabled and server signing = disabled
Add these to parameters in CIFS/SAMBA settings on N4F server
And because this are changes on the server, this worked for me without any changes on the (Windows 10) client.
