after editing fstab jail wont start

Post by mrjacobrussell »

I have a fresh install and have installed the .inc files.

the jail creates without error.
I add the fstab entries for a folder and I get no error

the jail will not start.

The folder exists in the jails /mnt folder.

/mnt/media-one/music /mnt/media-one/Extensions/thebrig/subsonic/mnt/media-one nullfs rw 0 0

Am I doing something wrong?

no, but try to use a path that do NOT contain "-"

I suspect that perhaps is a non permited character.

I am getting this warning after saving any changes to the jail. I figured it was related to the PHP issues

I tried mounting as /mnt/mediaone/and /mnt/mediaone and neither worked for me so I gave up and installed a old version I found a live cd of (11.1.0.4 - Atomics (revision 4899) )

I actually used the upgrade OS option and it worked.

I still had an issue with the jail not starting so I then looked at what I was mounting.
I changed the mount to /mnt/mediaone/music/ and it worked !!

I have never had my extensions on the same drive as my music. I realized i was trying to mount the entire drive with extensions and thebrig folder inside the jail.. it would have been a loop. Side note, I have not made the jump to a ZFS setup because this new machine does not have enough RAM. The machine I used to use and am selling has 24 gigs :( but its a 2U Opteron server and was too noisy. So, to keep the wife happy it had to go.
