I do agree it looks not good in second screen, but extended gui is not what we created, please contact its creator to update/fix it's code.

Did you disable Extended GUI before upgrading? Anytime I left it enabled, I had trouble. Disable/Upgrade/Enable. HTHjerryone wrote: ↑20 Apr 2018 22:49Thanks for fast replay. Where can I download previous version (11.1.0.4.5313) ?
Where can I download previous version (11.1.0.4.5313) ? Files seems to have disappeared. Need to downgrade to previous verions since this release has serious bug (Finch jails won't start). Advice to developers: keep previous version available for download, so when new release has bugs, one has option to downgrade.

Re: Where can I download previous version (11.1.0.4.5313) ?
While your advice makes sense for other reasons, I will disagree on the "new release has bugs", FYI about FINCH project: This project is deprecated / abandoned. and that is not my word, but the author one.
NAS4Free is moving on with latest FreeBSD updates and security patches, hence older/deprecated software may work, or will not work at all in a sudden.
My advise is that the user need to keep a copy of a previous version stored in his/her computer for this same reasons, and is just "common sense", additionally, I recommend to use the standard FreeBSD jails since they will be supported for quite a long time.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5403 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P9)
I ran into an issue while trying to move a Nas4free system to 11.1.0.4.5403. The system has been running 11.1.0.4.5054 embedded for some months and to upgrade I installed 11.1.0.4.5403 to a new USB and decided to try the RootOnZFS option to a stripe of one drive. The install went fine and I was able to boot from the new USB drive with no problem. I restored a backup of the cfg and everything seemed fine except that the iSCSI target service wasn't running. Trying to restart the service didn't work, rebooting made no difference either.
I plugged the old USB drive in and the system booted 11.1.0.no problem and the iSCSI service started normally. The old USB was using the default embedded install with UFS. I then reinstalled 11.1.0.4.5403 to the new USB drive using the default embedded UFS option and after restoring the cfg file everything including iSCSI service came up normally.
Hardware is an HP N54L with 3 WD red 3tb data drives, booting from the internal USB drive. I didn't find much of interest in the logs whenthe iSCSI service wouldn't start except the following:
Apr 30 19:50:40 hpn54l istgt[1976]: istgt.c:2805:main: ***ERROR*** istgt_lu_init() failed
Apr 30 19:50:40 hpn54l istgt[1976]: istgt_lu.c:2168:istgt_lu_init: ***ERROR*** LU1: lu_init_unit() failed

Apr 30 19:50:40 hpn54l istgt[1976]: istgt version 0.5 (20150713)
If anyone has any idea what may have caused the problem I'd be interested in hearing it. I'm fine running the system on the default embedded install with UFS, so it's not a show stopper for me.
thanks.

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5403 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P9)
Sorry to hear that you encounter issues trying out RootOnZFS, however NAS4Free either Full UFS or ZFS is not designed to run from a USB drive, unless is a branded USB3.0 NAND Flash device, and still non recommended at all for running native installations since write intensive, also the funny USB odd behaviors on some hardware, that said NAS4Free RootOnZFS should be treat as a native FreeBSD install and should be run from HDD/SSD.
Additionally, I've found that NAS4Free WebGUI still cannot fight the disk metadata phenomenons, for example I've installed NAS4Free Embedded, then later installed NAS4Free RootOnZFS and the WebGUI think my ZFS install is UFS lol, even manually destroying the disk from the CLI with "gpart destroy -F adaX", the only way I could get rid from this funny event is to zero-fill the whole disk unfortunately, still looking into this.
EDIT: I've fixed this stale metadata issue by raising the dd count to (16384) during disk cleanups, will be available to next release, sorry inconvenience, I must overlooked.
P.S. I've tested iSCSI Target in latest NAS4Free RootOnZFS and it started and go available as expected:
Code: Select all

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5403 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P9)
I'm running nas4free virtualised and having some errors with RRD graphs in the logs:
This happens every 10mins. I have another setup running on baremetal and that works fine, so i'm wondering if a virtualised CPU has to do with this error output?

No, the above mentioned extensions had no issues with PHP 7.2 (see also here https://nas4free.org/forums/viewtopic.p ... 189#p69900).

Hello loozhengyuan,
and I assume they will return no results.

On virtualised systems most likely Freebsd don't recongnize the CPU frequency and temperature, you can try the following commandsloozhengyuan wrote: ↑06 May 2018 17:15I'm running nas4free virtualised and having some errors with RRD graphs in the logs:

Ah, alright so it was indeed being virtualised that caused the problem.crest wrote: ↑07 May 2018 09:33Hello loozhengyuan,

Re: NAS4Free 11.1.0.4.5403 released (FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-P9)
I also realised that whenever I synchronise my ZFS config, the 'Show Used/Avail' option that I checked goes away. Is it designed like that or is this a bug?

Embedded install on HD worked fine. (UFS)
With Advanced ZFS Installer (RootonZFS) I get a prompt for Install Media Source location after warning on erasing ada0
--typing da0 doesn't help. It flashes:
Mounting CD/USB Drive
Mounting LiveUSB Drive
and returns to Select Install Media Source.
(using defaults and choosing Stripe (one 3tb drive))
Hello sorry late, thanks for posting this issue on Dell OptiPlex 380, this may be caused due failure to read the media labels correctly on your system, please can you post output for "glabel list" and "glabel status" after booting LiveMedia?
