Now the question is how to manage the main builds, as some other users ask for WOL feature. BTW just for curiosity I've tried WOL with 5750 on my HP MIcroserver Gen8 and it works

I confirm that 5750 without bge patches booted successfully LiveCD (virtual CD remotely mounted via iLO). Thank you very much @zoon01 for your efforts and for your excellent product!

I've used the WOL feature from the GUI of my router (Asus RT-N66U with Merlin's custom FW).

Yes, here it's also working like a charme, WOL doesn't matter for me, systems are running 24/7, but good to hear that this is also working.
Thanks a lot, really good work.

Very simple: for those that now have wol broken, wait again if it gets fixed upstream in freebsd drivers.netware5 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2018 12:50I confirm that 5750 without bge patches booted successfully LiveCD (virtual CD remotely mounted via iLO). I said long ago it should be fixed upstream, if it not happens, users did not scream loud enough
But it was worth a try

Frankly I don't think WOL makes particular sense with Gen8 (or with any other machines that has IPMI/BMC)...
Other than that, the kernel panic is gone with 11.2.0.4.5750. Thanks again.

I couldn't test 5750 as early as you guys as we went out for the day but, after a few self-induced problems, I have a working system again.
I use a Windows program imaginatively named WakeOnLAN to start my Gen8s and I'm pretty sure it started both the WHS & N4F instances before zoon01 started patching. I'll find out tonight......

And, yes, the Gen8 running 5750 fired up last night as expected so I think zoon01's suggestion to keep any WOL problems as FreeBSD's responsibility is a good one.
