Re: Full install on CF 4Go ?
Sorry for incorrection, but I have 2 CF that i use in the past 2 years, and I have no write/read problem or dead for me.
I use a IDE2CF to conect to IDE like master, my CD-Reader is conected on the same cable as "slave".
I use one like this:
I think that perhaps , brands are important, and CF like this , works very well for years: https://www.alternate.es/html/product/S ... sh/139155/?
PD: This Sandisk is UDMA66 capable, you only need to use 80 wire cable.

Re: Full install on CF 4Go ?
with flash memory in any form [cf, usb or direct plug in PATA or SATA]
there are big differences in quality and capability
wear leveling algorithms
extra memory to replace the failed sectors
general quality
I use these [for embedded]
http://www.logicsupply.com/categories/f ... sh_modules
but I would not use any flash for virtual ram [swap]
