We are pleased to announce the release of XigmaNAS version 11.2.0.4.5975 - Omnius
This is also an important bugfix release, rev5975 is now the minimum supported version!

UPS Statistics on System > Advanced > Monitoring Setup
might need a reset to work proper for some users.

- WebGUI code & framework improvements.
- Add UEFI boot support for LiveCD platform.
- Upgrade msmtp to 1.8.0.
- Upgrade sudo to 1.8.25.
- Upgrade e2fsprogs to 1.44.4.
- Upgrade samba to 4.8.5.
- Fix /dev/md2 creation on boot.
- Fix iconf issue with empty inbound charset. (BR 378)

Note:
- Make a new backup of your system configuration and store this on safe location, the system config.xml could be upgraded!
- Clear your browser's cache to avoid display issues after upgrade when coming from older nas4free release.

box 1 -
upgraded via GUI up 1 version to latest
has existing VM running fine previously
phpvb pass changed

box 2 -
upgraded via CLI up 3 versions to latest
no previous VM enabled
enabled virtualbox just to check
still at default (so that rules out wrong user:password)

both - gave error

The issue was caued by an empty parameter passed to iconv which stripped multibyte characters from config.xml during boot.
You can test with characters like Ñ¿.

just enter text in any comment field in your language including special characters. It must not disappear after a reboot.

Just upgraded my embeded install from 11.2.0.4.5925 to this release (11.2.0.4.5975).
No problems detected
