I successfully got tvheadend running in a jail using TheBrig.
tvheadend needs several directory settings, e.g. a location here to store recordings.
On my XigmaNAS, I have the path "/mnt/vSTorage/media/recordings" which was used by a first test-installation (without jail, but on a VM) and full of recorder videos..
I also have "/mnt/vStorage/jails/tvheadend/mnt/" but this directory is empty.
Is it possible for the jails-process to access the first diretory ( whic is outside the jail)?
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,

Re: Accessing a XiigmaNAS-diretory from inside a jail?
Hi drnicolas, yes it can using nullfs. It is documented on the first few pages of the thebrig thread. I do remember I've always needed to start the jail, create a mount point inside. Then stop it, followed by adding it to the fstab editor, which is temperamental for this operation. Often I have to add it to the jail using the "more" at the bottom of the configuration editor.

just checked one of my jails using thebrig. In the field "Fstab for current jail" you have a bit of a clue: This will be added to fstab. Format: device <space> mount-point as full path <space> fstype <space> options <space> dumpfreq <space> passno. Manual
Also you can use fstab editor
