Re: XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4.7664 released (FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-P7)
I updated embedded 7664, it installed and ran just fine. A couple of minor things:
- Several sysctl.conf switches do not exist but it's possible they were there from much earlier versions and I just realized them now. I disabled them.
WARNING: sysctl hw.ix.txd does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.ix.rxd does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.ix.num_queues does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.igb.txd does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.igb.rxd does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.igb.num_queues does not exist.
WARNING: sysctl hw.igb.max_interrupt_rate does not exist. - Some SMDB errors but they seem to always appear in one way or another and my access still works. I do not use XigmaNAS' print server but have a network hardware print server. (A Silex Pricom C-6100U since my Canon Pixma iP5000 still works!) They are:
- "inotify_rm_watch returned Invalid argument" for "watch_destructor"
- "pcap cache not loaded" for "delete_and_reload_printers"
- "Failed to fetch record!" for "printer_list_get_last_refresh"
- Transmission v3.0 runs but no previous torrents showing when "All" is selected within the Transmission webpage nor does anything work (i.e. can't change settings or add a magnet link). Have the error in the logs even after a Transmission stop and restart:
I think this is a Transmission permission issue. For the first instance of Transmission v3.0 run on my NAS (the boot-up after installing 7664 and rebooting), the log says that all available torrents were removed from torrent plain language directories and the torrents placed in their respective directories with another hash name. It may have something to do with the missing torrents. See example below:transmission-daemon: Unable to create session lock file (78): Function not implemented (session-id.c:96)
They were all successfully created but what is a session lock file? Is there some XigmaNAS permission I must set that I didn't have to set before?transmission-daemon: FalconFour's Ultimate Boot CD v4.6 Migrated torrent file from "/mnt/pool0/dataset0/BitTorrent/BTconfig/torrents/FalconFour's Ultimate Boot CD v4.6.666e37b08eaa25ba.torrent" to "/mnt/pool0/dataset0/BitTorrent/BTconfig/torrents/667e33b08eab25ba4b0cc76b96533c721e79efa6.torrent" (metainfo.c:819)

Can you please check for sure?! If that is like you says, that means my config automatically changed after upgrading never before. If i need to stop delete and remake config again will be very easy! But transmission-daemon is not functioning any more after the log if you can seejamaroney wrote: ↑17 Jul 2020 14:40Transmission works fine for me.jerryone wrote: ↑15 Jul 2020 23:11Ugrade done! Re: XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4.7664 released (FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-P7)
For me, I mention the details above but specifically:
- I have the same log entries, "Unable to create session lock file (78): Function not implemented (session-id.c:96)".
- It re-occurs in the logs after every "Save and Restart" of Transmission.
- Transmission deamon is running.
- Transmission webpage comes up but nothing works.

Re: XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4.7664 released (FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-P7)
Upgraded from 7542 embedded via Web GUI. Everything went smooth and working.
Regarding Transmission daemon:
1. I confirm that Transmission Web GUI does not work - I cannot see current torrents.
2. I confirm that the following error appeared in the syslog:
3. But I confirm that the Transmission daemon itself is working fine. Normally I don't use Transmission Web GUI to control the daemon. I am using Transmission Remote GUI v.5.18.0 instead and I confirm that I am able to see existing torrents and can add new torrents. Just now downloaded three movies. So my conclusion is that the Transmission itself is working fine, but its Web GUI is broken. The error in syslog is also strange, but does not affect the daemon itself.
I strongly recommend to use the Transmission Remote GUI app, which is available for Windows and Linux, to control the daemon. It is much snappier and more reliable than the Web GUI.

XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4.7664 released - TRANSMISSION WORKAROUND
In my previous post I noted that transmission 3's WebGUI worked fine.
But afterward I remembered that I had changed its original WebGUI to a modified one, which I noted in an earlier thread elsewhere viewtopic.php?f=47&t=15259.
So, for testing, I switched transmission 3 back to its original WebGUI, and sure enough, it wasn't working! However, I got no error messages in the log.
So, there are two easy workarounds:
1) Preferred method (but for Linux and Windows only): use Transmission Remote GUI v.5.18.0 https://github.com/transmission-remote- ... i/releases. It's MUCH better than transmission's own WebGUI.
2)For all users - use the modified transmission WebGUI per my instructions in the thread noted above. That version also allows for adding multiple trackers at once.

I downgraded to past transmission release, lets see again when there is coming a newer release.
Indeed the daemon is working fine on 3.00 release, I used Remote GUI too.

Re: XigmaNAS 12.1.0.4.7664 released (FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-P7)
I confirm the daemon works and all torrents in the past, present and future (sort of) are seen in Transmission Remote GUI v.5.18.0. This remote GUI doesn't sort by date the torrent/magnet was added plus "Active" and "Inactive" groups are non-intuitive to Transmission's webgui showing completed but seeding torrents regardless of activity. Nevertheless I have to use this until Transmission's webgui comes back.

Thanks the Transmission Remote GUI is working. I may not go back to the web GUI anymore.
