When I used FreeNAS 0.7 with multiple USB devices I would often have the problem of the devices names getting mixed up. I once had a RAID component mixed up with a regular disk. To say the least, that data was lost (thankfully it was just test data).
Upon trying NAS4Free today I noticed that same potential problem. I am wondering if the following instructions still apply to the latest release of NAS4Free and if it's possible to have NAS4Free do this be default out of the box:

12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
