Hi,
I mistakently pressed the delete button under my software raid menu of my 9.0 nas4free system and now it still works
but it says:
Warning: You are going to delete a RAID volume. All data will get lost and can not be recovered.
The configuration has been changed. You must apply the changes in order for them to take effect.
and the only choice I have is the "apply changes" button, but a "cancel" button is missing. So how could I revert back
and cancel this wrong operation without loosing the raid volume ??
Thanks for your help

Re: How to cancel a wrong gui config
first I would save the config
then power down/restart
if it has not been saved yet it may not happen

Re: How to cancel a wrong gui config
unfortunatly it does not help, even loading a previous config from before this bad change keep my
raid volume in the same state...
Of course I have still the option to backup all my data somewhere else, apply the change, and create the raid
volume again, but a bit boring... it is good nas4free tell you you are doing something bad like that but you should
definitly have the cancel option otherwise I do not see the point.
Any other idea ?

Re: How to cancel a wrong gui config
This is bug of 9.0 if you install as full. I forget exact revision, but at least 9.1.0.1.431 is only need rebooting the server.jim71 wrote:unfortunatly it does not help, even loading a previous config from before this bad change keep my

Try delete /var/db/updatenotify.db, then reboot immediately.

Re: How to cancel a wrong gui config
Yes I have a full 9.0 install, and your trick works, thanks !
I will probably go to 9.1.
