My machine locked up and I rebooted it. After the reboot I received the following messages..basically it seems like /dev/md0 (which is /) is out of space.
/dev/ufsid/50625b519286b9a3: failed to read data block -1
/dev/ufsid/50625b519286b9a3: UNEXPECTED SU+J INCONSISTENCY
pid1023 (fsck_ufs), uid0 inumber 1262 on /: filesystem full
/: write failed, filesystem full
Failed to write core file for process fsck(ufs (error 28)
So the filesystem is running off an 8GB USB key and when I run a df -h it shows /, /dev and /proc at 100% utilization but the partition is only like 200MB!! Is there a way to expand the partition to use more of the available space on the USB key?
Thanks.

Re: Embedded Install on USB key now out of filesystem space
YES , use full install to avoid left space when install packages, and whem promt for space to install use 4096MB in your case ( 10 times more than 384MB that is default size = minimum size propossal).diablos666 wrote:So the filesystem is running off an 8GB USB key and when I run a df -h it shows /, /dev and /proc at 100% utilization but the partition is only like 200MB!! You don't mention but probably you are using embeded that are NOT designed to add packages so it's size is for default N4F packages.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

What version number you use?diablos666 wrote:My machine locked up and I rebooted it. After the reboot I received the following messages..basically it seems like /dev/md0 (which is /) is out of space.

root filesystem in case embedded mount not from usb-pen. It mount from ram disk, and df -h calculate ramdisk size.diablos666 wrote:So the filesystem is running off an 8GB USB key and when I run a df -h it shows /, /dev and /proc at 100% utilization but the partition is only like 200MB!!
Use embedded+data partition install.diablos666 wrote: Is there a way to expand the partition to use more of the available space on the USB key?

Re: Embedded Install on USB key now out of filesystem space
Raulfg3 - I did think about that yesterday and did a full install onto the USB key. I then attempted to restore a previous config file but it did not work for some reason. Can I not use the embedded config file backup on the full install?
Alexey123 - I am using the latest release version of NAS4Free. It was an embedded install onto a USB key. How to I change what is on the key to embedded+data partition? I used the embedded download, unpacked it and then used win32 disk imager to put the image on the usb key.
Thanks.

Re: Embedded Install on USB key now out of filesystem space
You need make install from Live system and choice menu option 9 - Install/Upgrade NAS4Free from LiveCD/LiveUSB, and after option 2 - Install 'Embedded' OS on CF/USB Flash Drive or Hard Drive. You need 2 usb keys, 1 with liveusb as source , 2 - for future system, or you can use LiveCD as source and usb - as destination.diablos666 wrote:How to I change what is on the key to embedded+data partition? Also you can try my way install over etherboot. In this case you need VirtualBox.
