[SOLVED] Minidlna working but 0 files found

Post by nasathome »

Hello everybody,

after dealing from days with this issue and without found any information on the web i'm here to ask your help.

my configuration is NAS4Free 9.1.0.1 (revision 431) x86-full; DELL GX280 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 3063MiB RAM

where I have 2 HD in mirror using ZFS ( I also tried UFS, unfortunatly with the same result ).

The problem I'm experiencing is that also if minidlna log is reporting that it is working noone files is found" but I can ensure that files are there ;-) I already check if can be a permission problem but seems not.

what can be the problem?

here the log

do you create group dlna and user dlna 933 and add user dlna to group dlna as priimary and wheel as secondary?.
Please post how your user dlna is configured in webGUI.

please go to:
/mnt/disco and do a ls -l to see owner, and the same for /mnt/disco/video
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

Sorry I'm wrong , I must say a img of how is config the user dlna.

PD: I want to see if you add user dlna to dlna group as primary and wheel to secondary group.

My point is that is a permission problem, but need to confirm.

Sorry for the delay /mistake.

not really, if I see correctly, you only have 2 video files with 3gp extension.

Try to test other video files with .avi extensión, if this time works, is because 3gp extension is not supported.

make all files 777 to be sure are readables by dlna user.

Code: Select all

chmod -R 777 /mnt/disco/video
