offline disks question

Post by shmish »

Hello,

I think I'm going insane because I'm now seeing things differently from what I'm used to.
I'm using ZFS (obviously) with 4 disks a0, a1, a2, a3. All are 500 GB
When I check the status of my disks (Status -> Disks; or Disks -> Management), I'm told that a1, a2, and 3 are missing. a0 is online and 500 GB .

When I go to Disks -> ZFS, the ZFS Pool is online. I'm told the size of the pool is 928 GB.

I confused about the reports as described above. My zfs share seems to be working fine FWIW.

thanks

Your disk are bad detected, so order Was wrong, use new button clear config and update disk, this do not afect to your ZFS poll, but solve bad order disk.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

Thanks. Should I use "clear config and import disks" or "clear config and import software raid disks" ?
cheers

"clear config and import disks" to detect your disk and have in good order.

PD: perhaps after this you need to go to Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Synchronize and use button synchronize ( or not)
